Kris was called out to fix a leaking hose in a Freightliner Coronado. While he was there, he decided to check over all the hoses, just in case. As he pulled the fittings off the compressor, the inside wall of the hose stayed in the suction port.
The hose delamination was so bad that is had become loose and sucked into the compressor. In the images you can see that after Kris had opened the compressor up completely, there was large sections of the hose right through the middle. This naturally destroys any compressor and can be the root cause of all sorts of issues.
The delaminated section that was sucked into the compressor was about a foot long! He went further down the hose to see how far through the damage was, and it is evident that the delimitation of this hose is widespread.
